Junior QA Engineer
The QA Engineer will maintain and execute the QA test suite, ensuring all releases meet customer standards and specifications. This role includes validating bug fixes with developers, performing peer reviews, contributing to automated test development, and producing high‑quality documentation. The successful candidate will collaborate with global QA teams and project managers while working within an Agile/Scrum environment. Strong experience in QA engineering, proficiency with Windows and Linux (Ubuntu), coding skills in Python and Bash, and the ability to learn complex hardware‑software systems are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor the QA test suite.
- QA test releases from development to meet customer standards and specifications
- Interact with development to test bug fixes
- Perform overall quality control of QA work (Peer reviews).
- Work with test automation engineers to build our automation suite
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers
- Write reports and bug tickets to a high standard
- Work with QA team members based in the UK, India and Canada
- Compliance with all Evertz Policies and Procedures
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a QA engineer.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Familiarity with systems administration tasks.
- Ability to work with Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) Operating Systems
- Coding Background in Python and bash.
- Willingness to learn a huge system with Hardware and software interactions.
- Ability to learn a wide variety of technologies and quickly gain proficiency.
- Time management, organization skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.

Location: Burlington, Ontario
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours.
Vacancy: This is an existing position.
Salary Range: $55,000. to $65,000 per year, based on experience.
