What You’ll Do
- Quality Strategy & Testing: Collaborate early with product and engineering teams to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and testing strategy, combining exploratory testing, AI-driven insights, and risk-based prioritization to prevent defects early.
- Automation & Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using MABL, Playwright/Cypress/Selenium, including Python-based test suites, complex selectors, and integrations with AWS via APIs and WebSocket’s.
- CI/CD & Mentorship: Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), maintain pipeline-as-code, and mentor junior engineers while defining organization-wide best practices and the Testing Pyramid.
Key Qualification Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience as an QA Automation Engineer in automating testcases and building framework using:
- MABL
- Cypress/Selenium
- Python/Playwright
- Experience with Mabl or similar low-code/no-code test automation platforms (e.g., Testim, TestProject, Katalon, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript / Python for test automation and scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to testing microservices, APIs, or distributed systems.
- Expertise in writing robust XPath for UI element identification.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and STLC, with hands-on experience in functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.
- Experience with manual and automation testing, using tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar test management systems.
- Hands-on experience with Git and version control best practices.
- Familiarity with video technologies, including:
- ffmpeg, mediainfo, ffprobe
- Video formats, streaming protocols, codecs, and ancillary data.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- ISTQB certification (Nice to have)
