Field Service Engineer India - Media, Broadcast
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our growing technical services team in India. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with some of the world's leading broadcasters and media organizations, supporting the deployment, integration, and maintenance of cutting-edge broadcast and IP networking solutions.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will combine technical expertise with exceptional customer service skills to configure, commission, troubleshoot, and support advanced broadcast infrastructures. You will work both hybrid / remote and on-site at customer facilities, ensuring successful deployments and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Qualification Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in Field Service Engineering, Technical Support, Network Support, Broadcast Systems, or a related technical field
- Education in Computer Networking, Electrical, Electronic, or engineering education with related recent practical experience
- The ideal candidate will have strong Linux knowledge, network troubleshooting experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of IP Networking Protocols (IGMPv2/v3, RIP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Knowledge of Internet network technologies (DNS, Firewall, SSH, HTTP)
- Hands-on experience with system installation, administration, commissioning and troubleshooting
What You'll Do
- Participate in the implementation, documentation, deployment, and commissioning of small- and large-scale IP networks supporting broadcast infrastructures
- Provide remote and onsite technical support to customers worldwide, ensuring timely resolution of operational issues and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replicate reported issues through triage, research, testing, and system re-creation to identify root causes
- Recommend and communicate technical solutions, maintenance procedures, firmware upgrades, and best practices using language appropriate to the customer’s technical expertise
- Install, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot products and systems at customer sites, including delivering customer training both locally and internationally
- Act as a liaison between customers, Customer Service, Engineering, and Product Management to resolve issues, communicate customer feedback, and support product improvements and feature requests
- Develop and contribute to technical documentation and customer communications, including customer guides, FAQs, application notes, best practices, pinouts, system configurations, and product integration information with other manufacturer’s products
