We are looking for a motivated Intermediate Software Developer with strong experience in cloud-native backend development on AWS. In this role, you will design, build, and scale backend services that power our broadcasting platforms. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, UI, QA, and SRE teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Participating in design discussions with Head of Stream Automation, Product Owners and Solution Architects for adding new or improving existing features
  • Taking a feature from scoping requirement to actual launch in our cloud platform
  • Design & document requirements/features/API
  • Close collaboration with UI & QA team
  • Collaborate with SRE team to improve system observability, incident response, and troubleshooting
  • Develop high-quality, well-tested code meeting Definition of Done and deployment standards
  • Participate in code reviews, continuous learning, and mentoring junior engineers.
 

What You’ll Need for This Role

Key Qualification Requirements

  • 3–4 years of professional software development experience
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Python
  • 3 years of experience developing REST APIs, with at least 1 year using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway
  • Experience with AWS services such as IAM, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, and EC2
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, and security groups
  • Experience writing Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform)
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, including working with code written by others
  • Passion for writing unit tests and delivering high-quality, reliable software
  • Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development practices

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to OpenTelemetry or distributed tracing tools
  • Experience working with API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger)
  • Basic understanding of end-to-end testing frameworks
