Quintech Electronics & Communications, Inc. is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer whose primary duties will include being responsible for providing end-user, hardware, and software support and security driven solutions for all information systems.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist with end-user work orders, technical support and system troubleshooting. Completing tasks in an efficient, professional manner each day. Prioritize with focus on security, continuity of service and documentation.
  • Assist with configuration and management for network devices and security.
  • Manage identity and access authorization.
  • Process access requests to network resources, including network shares, firewall ACLs, etc.
  • Evaluate and decrease instances of inappropriate or excessive access to promote the principle of least privilege.
  • Assist in provisioning and configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting of servers, switches, firewalls, networks, and cloud hosted infrastructure.
  • Design and deploy remediation strategies and tools to handle prominent and recurring cybersecurity threats, maintaining high-security standards.
  • Assist with coordinating regular vulnerability and penetration testing, associated remediation, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Assist with creation and execution of cyber / incident reporting, remediation, response, and follow-up. 
  • Assist with logging and system event management, analyzing, auditing, documenting, and reporting incidents, vulnerabilities and remediation to the IT Manager.
  • Follow -up with individual staff, IT Manager, and senior management regarding critical cybersecurity threats and incidents.
  • Assist with facilitating management and staff cybersecurity and privacy awareness.
  • Assist in providing end user training for cybersecurity and policies.
  • Assist with managing corporate disaster recovery and backup systems.
  • Communicate matters of relevance to the IT Manager regarding applicable systems, status of projects, and cybersecurity issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Degree in information technology field or similar network and security experience
  • Experience working with NGAV and EDR
  • Experience with defining and enforcing security best practices in a corporate environment
  • Sophos experience is preferred.
  • Experience in M365 administration asset and SOC asset
  • Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Honesty, integrity, and confidentiality are always required.
  • Excellent understanding of IT security controls, technologies, and processes.
  • Understanding of security appliances / VPN configuration and maintenance.
  • Understanding of security frameworks like PCI-DSS, NIST, CMMC.
  • Good understanding of network protocols, technologies, and processes.
  • Comfortable with web application firewalls, MDR, IDS/IPS, anti-malware, vulnerability scanner solutions.
  • Familiar with cloud technologies and cloud security best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for communicating security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimal supervision.
  • Must occasionally work extended hours, including weekends and nights, in response to emergencies or to avoid disruption of users

Position is a full-time, daylight position, Monday to Thursday 6:15am-4:15pm
